While the Detroit Judo Club site is historical - showing the glorious past of the Detroit Judo Club and its members - this companion site is for current Michigan judo.

During the 50's, 60's, and 70's the Detroit Judo Club was the hub (get it!) for Michigan judo. So where better to keep current information on Michigan judo for the web?

The Detroit Judo Club also served as the national office for the JBBF (Judo Black Belt Federation) and later the USJF (United States Judo Federation), and office for the Konan Yudanshakai (formerly, the Great Lakes Judo Black Belt Association).
