MCB 133 Veterans Organization More than a personal site for Robert Ellis Smith, former UT1. He was on board for the recommissioning of MCB 133 on August 12, 1966 in Gulfport and served with this Seabee battalion during its first two tours in Vietnam. My Hero - My Dad, Tribute to CM3 Marvin G. Shields Congressional Medal of Honor Winner - As a member of Mobile Construction Battalion Eleven, Seabee Team 1104, he served in Vietnam in 1965. On June 10, 1965, his compound was attacked by Viet Cong forces. Petty Officer Shields was mortally wounded during his engagement and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his gallantry in action.
